Region III Transport Provider
Butte County EMS is a State of California Region III HID Transport Provider. Being designated as such, BCEMS deploys specialized equipment and trained personnel in the event of a patient that requires a high level of care based on applicable HID specific guidance. BCEMS Primary coverage area for HID related responses/transports includes Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter, and Yuba Counties.

Our efforts to mitigate potentially infectious bacteria and viruses begin where you don't notice the battle. This battle has always occurred. With the onset of COVID-19, the silent battle has taken center stage. Butte EMS have enhanced the weapons used in these battles in four distinct ways
Code 3 - Vital Vio UV LED Lights
All Butte County EMS Ambulances have incorporated the Vital Vio LED/UV lights within the patient compartments. These germ killing lights are safe for our patients and crews.
UV Lights in the AC System
Air circulates through the Air Conditioning System in all Butte County EMS Ambulances, passing by UVC light. This light helps to degrade viruses and bacteria.
Electrostatic Spray
Performed as needed
and during schedule preventative maintenance in all of our ambulances.
Manual Disinfecting
Crews clean between each call and at the start/end of shift using OSHA approved disinfectants
